The short version
- Anodos is short lessons and practice for National 5 Physics, made for pupils in Scotland.
- Most things you can sort out in the app yourself. This page shows where.
- For anything else, email us. A parent, carer or teacher can write for you.
- We reply within a few days, and within one month for anything about your information.
1. What Anodos is
Anodos is an app for practising National 5 Physics: short lessons, questions with hints, and a record of what you’ve mastered. Teachers write and check every question. Anodos is made by Kraken Digital Services in Edinburgh, and is not made by, or connected to, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
2. Sorting it out in the app
- Keeping your progress. You start as a guest, and a guest account lives on one phone or tablet. To keep your answers, streak, XP and settings if you change phone, create an account: in Profile, under Save your climb, choose Create account, then use your first name and an email address and password, or Apple or Google. For now, your mastery and the waypoints you’ve unlocked stay on the phone you earned them on.
- Logging in on another device. Install the app and, on the welcome screen, choose I already have an account. Log in with the same email address, or the same Apple or Google account, that you created your account with. Your answers, streak, XP and settings come back. For now, mastery and unlocked waypoints start again on the new phone.
- Forgotten your password. Choose I already have an account, then Forgot password, and we’ll email you a link to reset it.
- A question looks wrong. Open Report a problem on the question and say what’s wrong. The teachers who look after that course see the report, but not who sent it. Please don’t put personal details in the note.
- Deleting your account. Profile, then Delete account. You have 7 days to change your mind by logging back in. Deleting in the app clears your progress from that phone too. Deleting your information explains what is removed and what we keep.
3. If the app isn’t working
Close the app and open it again, then check for an update in the App Store or Google Play. If that doesn’t help, email us with the type of phone or tablet you have and what you saw on the screen. A screenshot helps, as long as it doesn’t show anyone’s personal details.
4. Email us
For anything else, email privacy@krakendigital.it. Tell us what you were doing and what happened. Never send us your password: we will never ask for it.
If you’re asking about your information, for example for a copy of it or to have it deleted, our privacy policy explains your rights. We reply within one month, and it’s free.
